Mission Statement
Altrusa International of Columbia, Mo., Inc., is committed to making a difference in the lives of others; through community service, leadership, personal contributions and by fortifying the Altrusa network for future generations.

The Voluntary Action Center, in partnership with the Columbia Daily Tribune, annually honors the commitment and accomplishments of Mid-Missouri volunteers. Columbia Altrusa was nominated by West Boulevard Elementary School’s Stand By Me Program and received the 2007 Hero Award for group nominees. A donation of $500 was made to Altrusa in honor of our achievement, which we donated to the Stand By Me Program.
